I love travelling, and I am specifically interested in travelling around the Southwestern part of the United States and taking in all of the historical sites. The last time I took a trip out to Arizona, I looked into some historical places to visit, and one of the places that really stood out for me was Tombstone. This is where Wyatt Earp and Doc Holiday fought against the Cowboy gang, and it is also where the famous shootout at the OK Corral occurred. I have always been interested in Old West history, and I was extremely excited to get a chance to see the place where such a historic event occurred. I began looking into the different events that they had going on there when I was going to take my trip, and I was excited to see that they were going to do a reenactment of the shootout while I was there.
Now, it is difficult to know just how historically accurate these reenactments are, but because there are a whole bunch of museums there that specialize in the history of the town and the Earps, I was pretty confident that they would get it right. Based upon all that I had read, I was excited to finally see it all acted out in front of me. I took the trip, and I am happy to say that I was not disappointed at all. The reenactment was amazing, and all of the sites that they have in that old town were wonderful.
They have really done a lot to preserve as many historical sites in the town as possible, and that definitely made for a good trip. If you have never been to Tombstone, I definitely suggest that you plan a trip out there soon.
